This permit relinquishment report for MEP60226 (Carricktown, Otago) is prepared by Aspiring Resources Limited. Exploration work completed on the permit is listed in the report, accompanied by a comprehensive data compilation and review commissioned from GNS for the Carrick region which includes a summary of the surface exploration, mining activity carried out over the region. The GNS report along with associated project data and GIS files are submitted as enclosures to this report. Accompanying digital data includes versions of the project data in multiples formats, GIS files, reference literature and a 3D geological project. These have been compiled primarily with MSAccess, ArcGIS and Leapfrog Geo, however multiple file formats are available. Elements of the 3D model are made available to view through a freeware Leapfrog project viewer. Several reasons for the relinquishment are given in this report; namely that the permit is considered to be economically unviable due to the perceived potential for future conflict over access issues when applying for permission for high impact exploration activities necessary for ongoing exploration and deposit definition.
