During 2016 Laneway Resources Ltd (Laneway) was presented with the opportunity to assess several historical holes from the Waitekauri Area. Laneway holds two granted exploration permits (EP53469 and EP54216) covering approximately 86km2. Laneway received around 2000m (24 holes) of historical core from Newmonts' Waihi Gold Operations for the purpose of study and analysis. This core was re logged, ASD sampled and selectively geochemically sampled with the aim of further delineating any geochemical/alteration/mineralisation trends in the area. Laneway also visited the NZP&M National Core Store during 2016 and ASD sampled a further 26 historical holes available from the Waitekauri area. This report summarises work completed on these core holes during 2016.
