This report outlines the work completed by Hawkeswood Mining Ltd between July 2012 and June 2014 for the prospecting permit (PP) 54058 on the boarder of Southland and Otago. Hawkeswood Mining Ltd planned to sample mineralised sands on the modern beaches, as a precursor to extending the sampling programme inland. Sampling on the beach, however, required resource consent and after months of negotiation with the various agencies the permit was reluctantly relinquished. No work was carried out on the permit
