This report outlines the work completed by New Zealand Minerals between August 2012 and August 2014 for the prospecting permit (PP) 54316 on the boarder of Southland and Otago. Work has included a literature review, and the collection of 252 soil samples (SS), 237 Rock samples (RS) and 108 paned concentrate gravel samples (PC). Of the collected samples, the 237 RS and 38 of the SS were assayed. The PC samples and remaining SS were sieved for visible alluvial gold. Several future alluvial gold targets have been identified (named Glow Flats, Piano Flat, Happy Valley and Dairy Farm) and at the time of writing had been included in an application for an exploration permit. Three geological structures have also been identified as potentially prospective within the Old Man and Garvie Ranges requiring further investigation.
