This report outlines the work completed by Hatfield Resources Limited between October 2012 and October 2013 for the prospecting permit (PP) 53530, Bluff, in Southland. Exploration has included a reconnaissance heavy mineral sand (HMS) investigation, several geochemical sampling surveys, a ground magnetic survey, and, an airborne magnetic and radiometric survey. The HMS work has identified ilmenite as the major HMS component. Geochemical results were contained mixed results and several follow up auger programmes are proposed to minimise agricultural effects. The magnetics were sill being interpreted at the time of writing.
