Mineral Resources of the Northwest South Island National Park

This report is the technical analysis of the mineral resources, within the proposed boundary of the Northwest South Island National Park, which was undertaken, as part of the detailed resource assessment project, by the Resource Information Unit, as input to the Ministry of Commerce submission to the NZCA for consideration on the proposed Kahurangi Park. It presents the results of an investigation of the geology, distribution and economic potential of the metallic and non-metallic mineral resources of the northwestern part of the South Island of NZ.
