This report covers the third phase of exploration by Newmont. The principal activities have been geological reconnaissance, and rock and stream sediment geochemical sampling. At the Tuahu target a widespread zone of hydrothermal alteration and anomalous gold and mercury in stream sediments has been identified. At the Athenree, Sapphire and Cashmore targets no significant alteration or stream sediment geochemical anomalies have been identified.
