This report highlights the results of a program of percussion drilling, geological mapping and geochemical sampling completed up to 31 March 2006, and is part of the Karangahake project in conjunction with work on the adjoining Talsiman (EP40081) and Rahu (EP40117) permit areas. Three percussion drill holes encountered anomalous gold values ranging from 0.02g/t to 0.20g/t. Part of the program included further geological mapping and sampling of old workings and adits in the upper Dominion West and St Patrick areas. Anomalous gold was identified in all samples from the Dominion West area, with the highest gold grad of 8.80g/t. Silver values ranged from 0.3 to 190.0g/t. Sampling of historic underground workings in the St Patricks area gave gold values ranging from 0.04 to 0.49g/t. The St Patricks vein zone trends N-NE and is traceable for 700m. The depth extension of this zone is clearly a target for Maria vein type mineralisation as at Talisman.
