Prophecy Mining has carried out a literature review, geological mapping, geochemical sampling and ground penetrating radar surveying that has shown some potential for small scale alluvial and platinum deposits. Prophecy believes that the gold deposits on the Waiau are better suited to individual, small scale alluvial operations and the company has decided to relinquish the exploration permit.
