This report details the results of a geological assessment and evaluation. The permit area was assessed by a combination of geological reconnaissance and pan-concentrate sampling of drainages. The area of particular interest at The Bend was assessed by test pitting and bulk sampling. The results from the area were considered sufficiently encouraging to justify a small scale alluvial mining operation and consequently a mining permit application has been lodged (MPA 41709).
