ML 32-039 Mt Karangahake - Progress report to Southern Gold Limited June - August 1991 DDH K17

Login to download

This report details the results of DDH K17, a diamond drillhole completed on the Mt. Karangahake mining licence, during August, 1991. The hole was designed to test beneath the Dominion West workings and alteration zone that had been superficially drill tested in a programme of four reverse circulation holes in 1988. These holes had encountered strong clay-pyrite alteration and variable quartz veining, with significant intervals that were gold-silver anomalous. Results indicate that the Dominion West zone does not extend to depth as a significantly mineralised and quartz-veined structure. No further exploration is recommended.
