ML 32-039, Mt Karangahake - Progress report to Southern Gold Limited, February - March 1991 - DDH K14

This report details the results of drillhole DDH K14, the first hole of a drilling programme completed at the Mt. Karangahake mining licence. The drillhole was designed to test immediately to the west of the Maria structure. It encountered two structural zones of shearing, silicification and veining in addition to the Maria zone, however neither is significantly gold anomalous. In the section tested, the Maria lode has a well developed hangingwall stockwork zone, but whether this diverges up dip or along strike to become an independent structure is unclear.
