Prospect geology is dominated by two comagmatic mafic/ultramafic intrusions, the Blue Mountain and Tapuaenuku Complexes. Sigma evaluated known copper-nickel sulphide mineralisation for potentially significant Platinum Group Element content, and attempted to delineate sulphide zones within the Complexes. No significant platinum or palladium values were returned from sampling of outcropping mineralisation, reconnaissance soil sample traverses or from reconnaissance drainage sediment surveys.
