Final report on EL 33341 - Geochemical reconnaissance in the Tiropahi area, North Westland

Login to download

This report analyses the geochemical data for samples collected in conjunction with a search for the source of the gold-arsenic mineralised breccia float reported by Allen (1986). The immediate source of the mineralised breccia float appears to be from Pleistocene gravels cut by the mainstream and left fork of the Tiropahi River. The apparent epithermal style of mineralisation has not been previously recognised in this general region and the ultimate source of the float remains unsolved. Drainage geochemistry and altered float observations did not define any obvious source areas for the gold mineralised float.
