Report on prospecting licence 31880 Rocky River, Northwest Nelson, New Zealand, to November 1987

This report outlines the results of the initial programme of follow-up exploration of various anomalous areas and the subsequent detailed evaluation of the prospective anomalies to the expiry of the licence in November, 1987. Exploration included soil sampling and deeper power auger sampling. This work indicated the presence of potentially significant gold mineralisation in the Rocky River - Maori Gully area, the Parsons Creek area and the Rocky River - Forrester Creek area. Additional work is recommended for the Anatoki Thrust to the north of Ricky River, the Sunshine Point area and the Rocky River - Maori Gully to Parsons Creek area.
