Report on PL 311199 Lockett, Northwest Nelson, New Zealand to September 1986

This report describes exploration activities on the Lockett prospecting licence to September, 1986. A detailed helicopter supported regional geological sampling programme was undertaken within the Licence area. Sampling included stream sediment, pan concentrate and rock sampling. This prospecting identified three drainage areas with associated anomalous geochemistry: Lonely Lake Creek area, Ruby Lake Creek area and Kakapo Peak area. It is concluded that only the first two anomaly areas, Lonely Lake Creek and Ruby Lake Creek areas, warrant additional prospecting, including Mapping and systematic rock sampling, additional stream sediment and pan concentrate sampling.
