Palynology-based paleoenvironmental analysis of selected Kapuni Group sections in Okoki-1 and New Plymouth-2 wells.

This report shows palynological analysis form the Okoki-1 and New Plymouth-2 wells to identify past environments in the New Plymouth region. The Okoki-1 well has evidence to support marine and non-marine influenced environments in the lower Kapuni Group from between 4155M-4245M core depth. However the New Plymouth-2 well only provided thermally altered organic matter, demonstrating that palynological analysis of the Kapuni Group in New Plymouth-2 is not viable.
