This technical report is prepared by Sinosteel Australia Pty Ltd for Aotea prospect (MEP54011) that is located along the west coast of the North Island. Sinosteel carried out reprocessing regional aeromagnetic and radiometric data, geological mapping programmes, a short auger drilling programme, geochemical analysis and passive seismic geophysical surveying. High magnetic anomalies were interpreted to be caused by the presence of magnetic ironsnad and the base of ironsand was identified through the geophysical program. The samples collected in the shallow auger drilling program were sent to SGS for XRF analysis. A further assessment for the data will be conducted to determine if additional work is warranted.
