On the geology of the district surrounding Whangaroa harbour, Mongonui county, Auckland

Examination of the geological features of the district surrounding Whangaroa harbour, of the Kaeo valley, and the country between Whangaroa and Mongonui. This work had for it`s object the ascertainment of the exact whereabouts and extent of coal deposits in the Kaeo Valley and at Mongonui, and also the extent and relations of the different members of the Cretaceo-tertiary and lower greensand formations, which are largely developed in the district, and in which at various localities prospecting for coal has been carried out.
