The report was a trial survey to determine techniques to best achieve seismic profiles in Happy Valley and Blackburn. Geological interpretation of the data was not the emphasis in completing this survey. Both reflection and refraction techniques were attempted but due to the difficulty in obtaining sufficient energy from long offset shots it was anticipated that the reflection technique may be more appropriate. The refraction techniques have been used to estimate sediment thickness along the seismic profiles. The interpretations have been difficult due to sonic velocity reversals within the sediments.
