King Country prospecting programme. Brief report to accompany completed propecting plans of King Country coalfield (Makakopa Fault to Awakino Gorge)

The accompanying plans are a summary of the results of the State Coal Mines reconnaissance prospecting programme carried out in the Western King Country during 1980. As a result of this work two zones of interest have become apparent in this western area; these are the Ngapaenga, Puketiti Blocks. To the east another two areas were prospected and these will also require further work; these are the Rangitoto and Bennydale blocks.
