LFTB Report 1034: Describes an investigation to provide data for a preliminary assessment of geotechnical factors likely to affect mining of the Roxburgh East lignite deposit. Core recovered from single drillhole was logged and sampled for laboratory testing. A range of classification, strength and durability tests has been undertaken to provide data for preliminary assessment of cut slope stability and for calibration of electric logs from previous uncored drillholes and to obtain lignite samples for analysis.
