A Geological and Initial Feasibility Study of the Pike River Coalfield of New Zealand

This report presents the results of the photogeological, field and laboratory work, together with a geological and mining assessment, which was conducted on the first half of 1974. Prior to commencing the field work, some petrological work was completed on some coal samples collected from the area in 1973 and a brief photogeological interpretation of the area was undertaken to give more guidance for the field work.
