Seismic Refraction and Gravity surveys to the south and west of Mataura. Very crude methods have been used in the interpretation of basement elevations so the section only provides very approximate indications of the true depth. Verticle scale is six times horizontal scale. Relatively steep inclinations in the basement rocks are suggested to occur below the area of Gore-Ti Tipua Road.
