This report discusses the reasons for partial relinquishment of Heaphy Mining Ltd's CEP54617, located in the West Coast's Inangahua Coalfield. Exploration drilling was planned for the permit, but never occurred due to cost-prohibitive access arrangement conditions. No exploration work was carried out in the permit. CEP54617 has expired since the writing of this report, and Heaphy Mining Ltd has applied for an extension of land from adjacent MP 41542 over a portion of EP 54617.
