Unconsolidated Sediment (Tauranga Group) Porosity and Permeability Data

Results of core taken from borehole 6599, Huntly East, tested by MWD for porosity were compared with data already gained by SCM from previous tests carried out on borehole core from the Proposed Ohinewai Mine area. The collected data provides a basis on which to further recommend testing with respect to the consolidation (settlement) characteristics of unconsolidated sediments. The results can be applied to problems of the East Mine, Weavers Opencast, and the Proposed Ohinewai Mine.
