Results of two outcrops samples from the upper Wairaki Valley and No.6. Opencast Mine. One sample from drillhole 343, one sample from drillhole 352 and 8 samples from 364. These samples were collected by M. Cave & D. Pillai from poorly exposed conglomerate/coal measure sequence thought to be either Wairio Coal Measures (Ohai Group, Late Cretaceous), or Beaumont Coal Measures (Eocene), most likely the former.
