Buller Coalfield : Upper Waimangaroa Area, Review of Hydrological Data Base and Preliminary Assessment of Hydrological Conditions Pertaining to Mining

The report presents the findings of a review of the hydrological database to assess its suitability for carrying out pre-feasibility mining studies on the Upper Waimangaroa Sector, Buller Coalfield. It includes a preliminary assessment of the hydrological conditions pertaining to mining and recommends various investigations considered necessary for future feasibility and design studies. In general there is a suitable database on the surface hydrological conditions to carry out a pre-feasibility mining study, but further hydrological data would be required for a full feasibility and design study.
