This report is largely concerned with the development of the Tatu State Mine. Geological evidence obtained underground and from the adjacent area is discussed. There is insufficient data to permit estimates of coal that can be won from the mine by the proposed new drive. The report suggest further geological investigations into the site to determine the quantity of coal in the ground and the geological structure as it relates to mining. Investigation up to the time of the report were few and mainly relied on information gathered during underground mining at the site.
