Login to download

From 1864, when operation began at Barunner, until the 1960s the Greymouth coalfield was a major source of indigenous energy. The particular characteristics of the bituminous coals found within the coalfield have met the specific demands for the steaming coal of high thermal value, for coking coal for metallurgical coke and coal specifically suitable for gas manufacture. The report also covers schedule outlines for recoverable reserves for the Greymouth coalfield as at September 1980.
