This report is a follow up to a report by W.D. Batt (1974) [see report no. 0170]. The field programme had the following objectives: To obtain a 1 tonne coal sample for analysis; to trace the seam in areas of thin overburden; to test geophysical exploration methods and choose one or more which could be used for a systematic survey over areas where coal seam is not exposed.
