Kupe South-3, Kupe South-3A, Kupe South-3B, Well Completion Report PPL 38116.

Kupe South Nos 3, 3A and 3B were drilled and tested during Dec 1987 to Feb 1988. The objectives for locating the well were to confirm the presence of hydrocarbons and fluid contacts in the eastern lobe of the Kupe South structure previously tested by Kupe South No 1 in 1986/87. Kupe South No 3 was programmed as a directional well drilled from a central location on the Kupe South structure with a 750m offset to the reservoir. Kupe South Nos 3, 3A and 3B penetrated a sedimentary sequence of Recent to Paleocene age and encountered hydrocarbons in Teurian (Paleocene) age fluvial sandstones of the Pakawau Group. Kupe South No 3B was plugged and suspended as an oil and gas/condensate development well.
